You can easily set up a master Internet time schedule to specify what times the computer can be used for Internet access. We also use the same simple interface to specify what times each filter should be active.CYBERsitter does a couple of things to make sure Internet access is always allowed for Windows Updates and anti-virus updates, so even when you have defined no access times, you can be sure that critical activities can still be performed in the in the background without being interfered with.
You can easily add Always Allowable and Always Blocked web sites to CYBERsitter. We have made it very simple to use so that you simply need to type the web site name, or drag the web site into the list.We have also added many powerful features for advanced users that let you specify individual programs to exclude from filtering, and it can also support special pattern masks using a technique called “Regular Expressions” to perform really cool things. You can also specify what type of block page you want to display.
On the CYBERsitter main tab page, you can quickly see the program status, see when the last filter update was performed, or if an update is available for download. You can also manage each CYBERsitter component, and by clicking the down arrows for each item, you can select options such as suspending filtering for a defined period of time, reading log files, automatic cleanup of old log files, and other configuration options.
Selecting filters is easy. Simply check on the filter you want to use. You can specify a different set of filters for each user, or you can select default settings to be used by all users. Or, you can limit access only to those sites you have pre-approved.CYBERsitter also lets you specify the times and days that each filter should be active for each user. This allows you to do things like block access to Facebook and YouTube during homework time. You can also set the strictness level for each user. This will reduce or increase the sensitivity when CYBERsitter checks a page for content.
